NFT ownership is not the same as copyright
NFT ownership is not the same as copyright
An NFT is an identifiable token on a network.
It can be linked to an image or another work.
Owning the token does not automatically transfer every right in the work.
Reproduction and commercial use are separate issues.
A usage license may impose conditions and limits.
The token seller need not own the work’s copyright.
Displaying an image does not establish permission to print and sell it.
Transaction terms should identify transferred rights.
Applicable rules depend on jurisdiction and contract.
Token ownership records do not replace examining rights in the work.
